PF: Do applicants have to submit a Letter of Commitment for the Non-Academic Placement?

A Letter of Commitment is only required for Global Fellowships.

A Letter of Commitment for the Non-Academic Placement was mandatory, but it is not mandatory anymore - see p. 14 of the Guide for Applicants for the 2025 Postdoctoral Fellowships call.

PF: During the outgoing phase of a Global Fellowship, the fellow intends to have a 4-month secondment. What period should be mentioned in the Letter of Commitment for the outgoing phase - the whole period of the outgoing phase or the period without the secondment?

Since the outgoing host will be responsible for the researcher for the whole period of the outgoing phase, and the secondment institution will not recruit the researcher, the Letter of Commitment from the outgoing host should cover the whole period of the outgoing phase.

All actions: Do beneficiaries applying for MSCA have to provide Letters of Commitment with their applications?

Letters of Commitment are for entities not signing the Grant Agreement.

Beneficiaries submit the proposal and sign the Grant Agreement in case the proposal has been funded. Their commitment is already covered by the submitted application so they do not need to provide a Letter of Commitment. If a Letter of Commitment is not explicitly requested, it is not necessary to provide it.
