DN: Can a researcher be recruited by two organisations (e.g. 70% university, 30% company)?

It is possible for DN-Joint Doctorates and DN-Industrial Doctorates, and even if a researcher is recruited only for 6 months by a company, it will still be considered as a beneficiary. The rule is that each researcher must be recruited for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 36 months.

Note that it is important for the consortium to ensure that they do not try to circumvent the 40% rule and that this recruitment makes sense.

Also, benefit for the researcher has to be kept in mind – for example in an Industrial Doctorate where the academic partner is in a country that has a significantly lower coefficient than in the country of the industry partner, it makes sense to offer two contracts to avoid unfair conditions.
