COFUND: How should in-kind contributions be included in Table 1.1a?

In-kind contributions should be mentioned in the narrative text, but also monetised (i.e. the monetary value of the in-kind contribution should be calculated) and included in the Table 1.1a. For example, if applicants plan to have a financial manager as an in-kind contribution, they should include them in the narrative part and they have to include at least part of the monetised costs under the Management Costs category.

COFUND: Is it acceptable if a project does not give additional research budget but gives other kind of support such as trainings, secondments, infrastructures, access to materials, tools, machines, other institutions?

Yes, it’s acceptable. The contributions can be financial or in-kind, but they must be detailed and reassured via letters of commitment from the concerned institutions (mandatory for associated partners and highly encouraged for implementing partners).

It will be up to the evaluators to assess it.
