The narrative part of B1 is the only place where applicants can describe employment arrangements for Doctoral Candidates.

DN: In Industrial doctorates, if a PhD student quits before their contract has finished and the beneficiary wants to recruit another PhD student with the remaining person-months, is the new PhD student also expected to spend 50% or more at the industrial partner?

The 50% rule is applied to each fellow. The new fellow also has to spend 50% of the time in the non-academic sector.
